Subject

NO RESEARCH PROPOSAL FOR MASTERS STUDENTS
This is to remind Heads of Departments that current postgraduate regulation under all-project option does not specify research proposal for Master’s students. Section II (iii) states that Master’s students shall present three (3) units seminar from their Master’s projects. The seminar is to be presented when the student is ready to graduate. On the other hand, Ph.D students are required to present two seminars: one to be presented as research proposal at the beginning of the student’s research work, and the other to be presented at the end of their research work before final oral thesis defence.
The purpose of this circular is to remind the departments not to subject Master’s degree students to research proposals. Any department that is already subjecting their Master’s students to project proposal should please stop doing so in compliance with the postgraduate Studies Regulations.
